Free-CGI Form to Email

Allows people who visit your website to submit a form you create from your website. Visitors can review the information before submitting.

You can then specify where your visitors will continue browsing after they have submitted your form.

Only registered users can use the form2mail program. The email will be sent to the email address you used in your registration.

Here is how you can use this program for your website in 3 easy steps:

Step 1.- Register your Free-CGI username.

Step 2.- Customize your Free-CGI application.

Step 3.- Create a form in your website and direct it to the form2mail program as follows:

In the form tag write:

<FORM METHOD="POST"
ACTION="http://www.free-cgi.com/freecgi/form2mail/alternate.php">
In the form, include your Free-CGI username:
<INPUT TYPE=HIDDEN NAME=Username VALUE="your-username">
Capital letters are important:
NAME=Username will work but
NAME=username will not.

For example, if your username is "startup", then you'll write:

<INPUT TYPE=HIDDEN NAME=Username VALUE="startup">
Only registered users can use the form2mail program. The email will be sent to the email address you used in your registration.

Where do you want people to go after the form has been processed?
Write your web address in this field:

<INPUT TYPE=HIDDEN NAME=Continue VALUE="http://your-address">

What's the subject of the email you will receive?

<INPUT TYPE=HIDDEN NAME=Mail_Subject VALUE="the-mail-subject">

If you require that a field be entered, the name must contain the word "required-" in the beginning:

<INPUT TYPE=TEXT NAME="required-email">

If the field doesn't require to be completed then:

<INPUT TYPE=TEXT NAME="email">

How do you want to order the fields in your form?
Enter the name of the fields exactly as used, separated by a coma:

<INPUT TYPE=HIDDEN NAME=Order VALUE="required-name,address,
city,state,zip,country,phone,required-email,website">

The form must end with the following 2 buttons:

<INPUT TYPE=SUBMIT NAME=Submit VALUE="Submit">
<INPUT TYPE=RESET NAME=Reset VALUE="Reset"> 

That's it!

NOTE: When someone includes a quote (") in one of the fields, anything following the quote will NOT be sent with the form. If you believe that people using your form will include quotes in the fields, then you should tell them, in the page where you have your form, to write &quot; instead of the quote (") symbol, so the information you receive is complete.
